On the basis of design developed by PN Dockyard, this type of Mini Submarines have been constructed at PN Dockyard. Brief design features of the sub-marine are as under:

This type of Mini-Submarine can be used for various purposes like attacking enemy units in harbour with Frogmen/Chariots, at sea with torpedoes, at shore installations by commandos etc. Other uses include mine laying, defensive barrier in shallow waters, advance pickets duties, intelligence gathering etc.

SUBMARINE AGOSTA 90B

Under a transfer of technology package between DCNI of France and Ministry of Defence, Government of Pakistan, the above type of modern submarines are being built for Pakistan Navy. During this construction, personnel of Pakistan Navy and KSEW are receiving extensive training for construction.

The submarine can be fitted with MESMA a latest development for oxygen genertion in the submarine which increases the under water retention time.
