MINE COUNTER MEASURE VESSELS

Under a transfer of technology package with DCNI of France, three such vessels are being acquired; two from France and the third is being constructed in Pakistan.

This Mine Hunter is of advanced design requiring use of latest construction procedure. To maintain excellent non-magnetic qualities, the hull is made of GRP and the superstructure of aluminum alloy.

Equipped with computerized system and wire-guided submersibles for destroying mines, it can detect, classify and neutralize mines up to a depth of 80 meters at a distance of 500 meters. The protection of equipment and crew against underwater explosion has been designed in accordance with NATO requirements.
